Welcome Summer!

"This is June, the month of grass and leaves...already the aspens are trembling again, and a new summer is offered me."
Henry David Thoreau

Hello Everyone,

How I've missed you all! Can't wait to have a chance and stop by to see what you've been up to :0) I am back for just two days then will return to the country. These past few weeks have been a blur of paint, brushes, and trips to the local hardware store. The porch is almost finished. I still need to paint somethings here and there, but the bigger part is done. I am so looking forward to hanging the curtains, and pay attention to the garden. Days go by too quickly, don't you think?

Remember what it looked like?

This is now...

It was a happy moment when I was able to hang the butterfly that had been sitting in the attic for the past three years waiting for the "right spot"

Abby has also been hard at work. She's discovered the joy of digging huge holes in the ground :0)

Some puppies have all the luck!

I must get going but before I do, I just want to wish you all a wonderful Summer filled with joy, magic, and cotton candy fun.

See you soon! XO

  2. Hello, my friend!

It seems that I always think of you at the changing of the seasons - just do! Funnily, yesterday, you were very much on my mind as I was putting flowers in the pots on my front porch. It's a small and slightly disjointed but very peaceful spot and I was so happy. Here is your porch!=] It's very pretty and bright and cheery and FUN and I love those colors - it reminds me, strangely enough, of a.... caravan! (heehee!=])

Well, very happy first day of summer to you!

    Love, Katy xo

Oh, and I hope that you don't mind me mentioning how cute your puppy is, AGAIN! Curled up in quilts after a long, hard day of digging holes....awwwww!

Love the photo of Abbie, one of mine is a great digger and usually has several holes on the go, which she works on at random LOL

  9. Hi, Alina. The porch is beautiful. I love color, like you. The butterfly had been waiting for that spot, you are right! You are going to have wonderful summer moments on your porch. Nothing before it's time; someone said to me the other day... Abby is getting big, and so strong to dig all those holes in the yard. Maybe she is hinting for a colorful "doggie house." Perhaps, a "Purple Caravan" for herself? Hmmm. Journey with love and joy. Peace. Brianne

  14. Dearest Alina,
The Purple Caravan looks like a wonderful nook for respite and serenity! I love the pop of color amidst the greenery ... a charming little cottage. Sweet little Abby, after an ambitious day's work of digging holes she certainly looks to have worn her little self out!

Wishing you and yours a blissful 4th!! May it sparkle!!! And may your summer continue to sizzle and shine!
