Heat relief!

(Pixdaus.com)

It's been a heck of a weekend. The heat and high humidity had me looking and feeling like the cat in the photo. I swear, my voice "sounded" deeper. It was horrible. Even the birds were quiet!

Then this afternoon, when using the last of my strength I crawled outside to water the plants... I noted something strange... I mean, I could actually "breathe"!

I rushed back to the house, turned off the AC, opened all the windows and stood there watching the curtains move like sails...

"Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind..."

I am so excited I don't even know what to do next!

But before I go and get lost in some wonderful adventure :0) I wanted to thank all of you, my dear friends, for the sweet comments and words of encouragement left on my last post. I am humbled, honored and ever so grateful!

Hope everyone has a lovely week! XO

  2. Ah, the wonderful and much loved Isley brothers...We have had heat and humidity in England, but the promised storms will clear it all away. The price is 2 quaking, panting dogs, until the thunder has passed...

  4. as always a humourous post... loving the cat pictures. We need rain here in the North West of England, which is so funny..... otherwise its a hosepipe ban! I wish I could put my feet in a pool of cool water, that would be great. I'm not built for heat, miss the a/c..... we do have water but its a leak in the kitchen from the bathroom! Keep safe. Ciao

  18. Hellllooooooooooo! I was just thinking of you - hoping that I hadn't missed a post or something - and, I did! Now, how ironic, for, today, aren't we just dying in this heat, again? My lungs hurt, too! Wasn't that cool spell wonderful?!!! Now..... maybe we just have to pay our dues in a way or something. This is just what we have to do unless we want to live in Siberia or someplace. Hmmmm, actually, Siberia sounds good at the mo.

I LOVE the photos in this post. They go perfectly with your wonderful evocative words (as per usual=])!

Wishing you survival and sending you love,

    Katy xo
