Welcome Spring

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all doing well and getting ready to put those coats and gloves away. I know I am :0) The heavy Winter slumber is slowly giving way to brighter days and I can't wait until every leaf turns green and the warm breeze whispers in my ear.

This past Winter, as the snow and sleet pounded on our windows and covered our streets and cities I buried myself in what my brother calls "the laboratory." Quite frankly, I don't know how to call it. Since I don't consider myself to be an artist, I am afraid to sound pretentious if I refer to my "area" as an art studio but then, according to Wikipedia, an artist is someone described as.

"A person engaged in one or more of any of a broad spectrum of activities related to creating art, practicing the arts, and/or demonstrating an art"

Whether the title fits me or not, that is where I've been. Drawing, painting, making art journals and leaning from so many talented people who dedicate their time to teach and guide others like myself. I am referring of course, to YouTube. Such an amazing place! I would love to share my work and thought of having a separate Blog just for that purpose but quite honestly, I love this place so much I would hate to use another site. I am trying to learn how to have tags in which to place separate topics but all this technology could be so hard!. I will be back as soon as I have this figured out.

Wishing you all a wonderful Spring. May it be a magic one!

  1. Hi Alina! You certainly are an artist...even if you have a hard time referring to yourself as one! :) Your blog is just so lovely and I love the music playing too. Hope you can figure out that tab thing. That would be wonderful. Wishing you a lovely spring day sweet girl! xoxo

  2. Beautiful image and music as always, a treat to visit with you.
I would LOVE to see what you have been making xx

  3. I look forward to seeing what you have been creating! Taking time to make art really is so important - so healthy to release that creativity. Love the music and can't wait to see what you've been up to. Your blog has been central to inspiring me - Donna:)

  4. Hi Alina! Sorry it's been so long since I've visited you! I was so pleased to see that you had a music source still, but for some reason I couldn't hear it. Must be my computer. I always love the calming spirit I find here. Lovely image too. Take care.

  5. Alina thank you for your lovely comment on my blog, if I can help you with tabs for your blog let me know I be happy to help, your blog is lovely and peaceful! I be sure to come back!

  6. Hello beautiful friend...yay, yes share your creations and artistic soul..I would love to see and enjoy anything you would share..you are a gifted and talented spirit! I know what you mean, I never thought of myself as one either..yet everything we do is artistic and creative..therefore..you are an artist!
HUgs, wishing you a gorgeous Spring and much magic always! Love that image..stunning!!

  7. Alina,
It's nice that you are drawing and painting lately. I always wished that I would have that talent, but no such luck. However, I think we are all artists in the blog world whether we are writers, picture takers, decorators, or painters. What a wonderful place our blog land is for us, and I would be upset if you ever left this creative site of yours. You know, I LOVE this picture of the girl and the owl, and the first time I saw it was on my friend Anita's post one day. Owls are smart birds and they remind me of Nel, who will get her Ph.D. this year.

I hope you are enjoying the spring days. Keep painting and drawing. The world is a better place because you're in it.

  8. Have a wonderfully creative Spring Alina!

  9. Alina, what a wonderful photograph.....Sorry my visits have been so infrequent lately, back soon with pix of my travels!

Albert Schweitzer said "In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit" I thank you all!
